Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date & Price: Korea's Best Smartphone Yet? The Latest Specs & Features Here! [Rumors]

Even though it wasn't too long ago when the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were released, rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S7, the South Korea-based company's alleged future flagship, are gaining momentum.

Although media outlets are one in saying that the smartphone will be a significant upgrade to the already stellar current flagship, they are at variance when it comes to the expected release date of the Samsung Galaxy S6's successor.

According to Venture Capital Post, the purported Samsung Galaxy S7 will see the daylight early next year. It cited an unnamed media source from South Korea that claimed that production has already started and it was commenced markedly earlier than it should.

Interestingly, Latinos Post writes that Samsung won't wait that long to update its high-end lineup. In fact, Samsung Galaxy S7 is projected to release before 2015 ends. Unfortunately, there is no info as to what instigated such change in schedule.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is depicted by rumor mills as the best Samsung handset yet. International Business Times reports that the flagship will come in a crisp and sharp 4K display; although there isn't any detail as to what size the said Super AMOLED screen will be.

Galaxy S6 says that the device may even be the first Android smartphone to be equipped with a 64-bit Exynos processor clocked at 3.5 GHz. The RAM, according to most reports, will be at 4GB. Venture Capital Post even said it can offer up to 6GB.

There is also word that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have users choosing among a 32GB flavor, a 64GB memory model and one that gives away 128GB of space. On the connectivity side, the smartphone is expected to support a 5G network connection for lightning Internet speeds.

Galaxy S6 also notes that the handset is rumored to feature a staggering 30MP shooter on the back and a very capable selfie camera set at 10MP. International Business Times says that these are a little bit over the top so its best bet is a 16MP and a 5MP camera combo.

Android M, which is still in Google's labs, is said to come with the Samsung Galaxy S7 straight out of the box. It also looks like Samsung is pushing the envelope for the Galaxy S7, which is said to be made waterproof. In addition, the battery, as Pocket-lint reported, is being tweaked to last for five days.

Of course, as stellar as all this sounds, the final word will still come from Samsung. Although it is yet to announce the existence of Samsung Galaxy S7, it is safe to say it will be one massive upgrade from its already formidable predecessor, making the upcoming device a mighty offering.
