'Suicide Squad' Star Will Smith Reveals Truth Behind Divorce Rumors: 'I'll Tell You Myself'

There's buzz that A-list couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are calling it quits. According to Today Online, the divorce rumors were first reported by Radar Online, which stated that the pair, who have been together for 17 years, are going their separate ways by the end of summer.

The "Men in Black" star, however, shot down the rumors via his Facebook page, calling them "foolishness." The actor wrote:

"Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious). But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too!"

To formally end the hearsays, the "Suicide Squad" star sternly and delightedly (complete with a smiley face) spilled out the truth "So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are...NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The actor added that if he and Jada, who he referred to was his "Queen," decide to actually split, he promised in the same Facebook post that "I SWEAR, I'll tell you myself!"

According to E! Online, Jada and Will aren't new to such issues. Back in 2009, the couple has already been fighting off the same rumors, with the "Gotham" star confessing to Atlanta Radio Show back then that "I've heard all the things-their marriage is not real, he's gay, she's gay, they swing."

"But at the end of the day, people have to believe what they have to believe. I'll tell you what, it's too hard to be in a pretend marriage. Life's too short for that one," she went on to say. Jada's latest comment on the divorce issue was just dropped in June to "The Howard Stern Show.

There, she said, as quoted by E! Online that she trusts Will, who she described "is a man of integrity." In 2013, the actress told Huffington Post that she loves Will "deeply and he is my best friend." Will, back in 2012, gushed over his wife in an interview with People Magazine.

"She is so calm and cool and easy in any situation. She can bear anything, and I just love that about her," Will said.

Jada and Will tied the knot back in 1997 with the latter enjoying the success of his blockbuster films "Independence Day" and "Men in Black." The couple had two kids together, 17-year-old "Karate Kid" star Jaden and 14-year-old singer Willow.
