Windows Phone 8 Features, Release Date Close, More Apps, Developers to Improve Micrsoft vs Apple, Android, 'High Enthusiasm' For Nokia Lumia 920, HTC Windows Phone 8X

Microsoft is getting ready to launch Windows Phone 8 on Monday despite mixed reviews for their new Windows 8 software, which was launched on Thursday, some users are excited to see Windows Phone which might work for the company.

Some good news is that recently developers said that they are ready to shift their attention to the Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system.

According to eWeek, at a Spring Open Solutions conference, the developers said they had to concentrate on Apple iOS and Google Android platforms because that's where the customers are.

The Apple app store has 975,000 apps, which 275,000 are optimized for the iPad. Google Play has 675,000 apps for Android-powered smartphones and tablets.

"Microsoft has a huge base of developers and the great majority of them are excited about the prospects for Windows 8," wrote Francisco Kattan, vice president of marketing for Tiggzi, in an email. Tiggzi is a cloud based service for developing apps across OS platforms, but was not represented at the Sprint Conference.

"Windows 8 will enable the Microsoft ecosystem with a platform to deliver more compelling experiences across more form factors and this presents a significant opportunity for them," Kattan said.

A previous report said that there were phone 100,000 apps in the Windows Phone Store, but now there are 125,000, according to DigitalTrends.

The report also said that there are currently 30,000 active developers to create more Windows Phone apps, which has a growing rate of around 215 apps per day. "November and December should see a big increase in apps being submitted and released," said DigitalTrends.

This is good news for those who are willing to change over to Windows 8 instead of Apple and Samsung.

According to Nvonews, enthusiasm for Windows Phone 8 is very high "Because of the fact that it is going to make things so much different for Windows Phone with the launch of the new and much improved OS for Windows smart-phone."

The report says that Apple's latest platform has caused some issues for iPhone 5 users, including the new Apple Map app. However, the platform has gained many fans despite bad reception, and Windows Phone 8 is definitely something new.

The reception for the new Windows 8 software in general has been mixed, many saying that Microsoft is sure to fail and that and that release will be a "rocky one."

Microsoft has some highly anticipated phones ready for users to get their hands on.
