Rebel Wilson Reveals Hollywood Star's Threat to Block Release of Her Upcoming Memoir 'Rebel Rising’

Australian actress Rebel Wilson, 44, bravely confronts the shadows of Hollywood as she prepares to release her upcoming memoir, "Rebel Rising." Wilson disclosed that a particular Hollywood star attempted to intimidate her upon learning of his inclusion in her book.

The "Pitch Perfect" star had previously hinted at dedicating an entire chapter to a person she described as a 'massive a-hole' with whom she had worked before. Wilson took to Instagram to reveal that this individual had threatened her to prevent her from sharing her story.

Hollywood Star Threatened Over Memoir Release

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Wilson shared that the 'a-hole' was trying to threaten her and has hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. She also said the person was trying to stop the press from coming out about her new book. Despite the looming PR battle, Wilson assured her fans that the book would be released, promising they would learn the truth.

The actress previously mentioned her encounter with the individual, emphasizing how it influenced her decision to adopt a strict 'no a-holes' policy when considering work opportunities in the US.

In another Instagram post, Wilson shared that when she first arrived in Hollywood, she heard people talking about having a policy of not working with unpleasant individuals. At first, she thought it sounded like a reasonable idea. However, she later realized the true significance of this policy after personally experiencing working with someone she described as a 'massive a-hole.'

As a result of this experience, she now firmly adhered to this policy herself. She even mentioned that she has dedicated a chapter in her upcoming book to recounting her encounter with this individual, emphasizing how damaging the experience was.

Recent Revelations

Wilson disclosed that Sasha Baron Cohen is the Hollywood star attempting to halt the release of her memoir. In a recent Instagram story, she defiantly stated her refusal to be intimidated by legal threats or PR tactics. Wilson clarified that she refers to Baron Cohen as the 'a**hole' in just one chapter of her book.

Wilson and Baron Cohen co-starred in the 2016 film "The Brothers Grimsby." She previously mentioned on a radio show in 2014 that Baron Cohen had pressured her to perform nude scenes in the movie. Despite her objections, Wilson claimed that Baron Cohen persisted, even suggesting a scene not in the script involving her sticking her finger up his butt.

In 2016, Cohen revealed why he cast Wilson as his love interest in a comedy instead of his wife and co-star Isla Fisher. During an appearance on Network 10's "The Project," he humorously suggested that casting Wilson was due to 'problems at home.'

Cohen joked that the studio was pressuring Wilson to have a child to coincide with the movie's release, even though she was only five months pregnant at the time. He mentioned that they were working on a solution, jokingly stating that Wilson had to decide whether to have the baby prematurely to satisfy the studio or wait until full term.

Struggles and Stardom Journey

Wilson's memoir promises to delve into various aspects of her life, spanning from her teenage years to her rise to fame, including her relationship with food. Additionally, the actress recently revealed her struggles with stress-induced weight gain, attributing it to her busy schedule.

Despite the challenges she faces, Wilson continues to push forward with her projects, including writing her book, filming movies, and directing. In addition to her professional pursuits, she manages her responsibilities as a full-time mother and maintains her dedication to her dating app, Fluid.

Scheduled for release on April 2, "Rebel Rising" promises to share the truth and inspire.
