The Next 'Fifty Shades of Grey’? EL James Reveals 2 New Books Up Her Sleeve

"Fifty Shades" trilogy author E.L. James held a Q&A in Twitter last night with the hashtag #AskELJames. People tweeted to ask the writer some curious questions while some just tweeted to make fun of the books, The Telegraph reports.

While many users did not take the Q&A seriously, James' reply to one curious question certainly brings good news to "Fifty Shades" fans.

The author herself has confirmed that two more books are coming, both of which are romance stories.

While no plot or even a single hint is revealed, fans are expecting a lot of James due to the booming success of her erotic trilogy.

The "Fifty Shades" trilogy revolves around the story of young billionaire Christian Grey and literature student Anastasia Steele.

Coming from very different worlds, Christian and Ana enters a very unusual relationship, filled with hot scenes and bed toys. This piqued the interests of readers around the world and made it popular.

The trilogy has now sold more than 125 million copies worldwide since its release, BBC reports. The story had also been translated into 50 languages.

Moreover, the film adaptation of the first book, "Fifty Shades of Grey," has been one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

Starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, The Guardian reveals that the film is reported to have made more than US$569 million worldwide since its release in February.

Due to the high anticipation of the first movie, film director Sam Taylor-Johnson announced that the second movie has received the green light before the first film was even released, according to Daily Mail.

The same report revealed that the film has become the fastest selling R-rated movie in the history of Fandango, an online ticket seller.

Not only a movie, a fourth book in the series has been released. "Grey" is a retelling of the first book in Christian Grey's point of view. More than a million copies was sold in its first four days, according to a report in International Business Times.

With the books and film breaking records, James has made a big fortune out of what started as a self-published fan fiction of Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight."

The Guardian says James is now worth almost US$60 million, not including royalties from the fourth book and the record-breaking film.

In 2012, Time Magazine named E.L. James as one of The World's 100 Most Influential People.
