'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Movie: New Photos of Cast, Victory Tour Stage; Elizabeth Banks Confirms 'Mockingjay' Details

More exciting news surfaced for the highly anticipated second film in the "Hunger Games" trilogy.

New photos emerged from on the set of "Catching Fire," where filming is currently taking place in Atlanta, Ga.

According to DailyBlam, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson were among the cast members spotted at Atlanta's Peachtree Dekalb Airport yesterday (Oct. 15) as filming took place in a hanger that was built into a Victory Tour stage.

Instead of reaping two new children from each district, the 75th Annual Hunger Games is taking the previous winners of tournaments, which includes Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, but there's a deeper reason for why President Snow wants this to happen.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is described:

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark.   Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts.  Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

It actually will change Panem forever, but we don't want to give any more clues if you haven't read Suzanne Collins' third and final novel in her series, "Mockingjay."

Speaking of the third book, it was previous revealed that "Game Change" Emmy Award winning writer Danny Strong has been picked to write the screenplay for "Mockingjay," the last film adaption of Suzanne Collins' bestselling trilogy, according to SlashFlim.

It seems that Elizabeth Banks, who plays Effie Trinket in the films, confirmed this news which Lionsgate remains silent about.

On her website, Banks said, "Right now I'm filming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but the powers that be are hard at work adapting book #3, Mockingjay. Going Twilight-style, the third book will be split up into two movies, both written by Buffy alum Danny Strong."

She also confirmed what Lionsgate announced in July: the book will be split into two films. Part one is set to release Nov. 21, 2014. The second part will release Nov. 20, 2015.

For "Catching Fire," Lionsgate announced that it started principal photography for the second "Hunger Games" movie on Sept. 10 in Atlanta, Georgia. Then, the film will subsequently be shot on location in the beaches and jungles of Hawaii before wrapping in late December, 2012.

"Catching Fire" comes out in theaters Nov. 22, 2013. May the odds be ever in your favor!
