Kristen Stewart's Awkward Balenciaga Interview Not Her Fault? Fans Blame Interviewer for 15 Minutes of Weirdness

Fans are cheering for Kristen Stewart despite her awkward live Web interview Thursday afternoon to promote Balenciaga's Florabotanica perfume.

Stewart gave an uneasy, awkward interview with French fashion editor Virginie Mouzat, and it was supposed to last 30 minutes. More than 5,000 questions came in for the 22-year-old actress to answer, according to USAToday.

She answered questions about the fragrance.

"Luckily, I like the smell of the fragrance, so I don't have to lie about that," she said, answering one of the first questions.

Asked to pick three words to describe it, she hedged a bit, reported USAToday. "That is a tough one. I think, uh, dangerous, definitely. Danger. It is super French, and I think maybe uh, I don't know. It's fresh as well. One thing about fragrances, you can start to smell like an old lady, fake or like a chemical. I don't get that, so maybe fresh and French."

On favorite flower: "I really love gardenias."

If this fragrance were a person, how would she describe its personality? "You need to be an individual in order to ... there's a fearlessness to it. I don't want to say in your face, but it's definitely not to be denied. ... It's present. Somebody who's willing to let their face hang out."

How would you describe Florabotanica in your own words? "I think it's alluring and I think it's bold and present. It's natural, which is really important," said Stewart, her leg swinging throughout the interview. "It doesn't smell like a chemical. Uh, I don't know. I think young and mature at the same time. When I wear I feel older, I feel a little more there. At the same time, I think it's youthful."

However, fans were disappointed when the interview was cut short just under 15 minutes.

At the end, the "Twilight" star said to fans, "I'm sorry we couldn't fill a whole half hour. I'm really sorry."

Gather Entertainment posted some comments from angry fans, one saying, "Dude you were interviewing KRISTEN STEWART and you only used 15 minutes instead of 30?!" Another said, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!!?!"

"Oh we have 30min with Krsten Stewart...nevermind we'll only need 15," a third tweeted sarcastically. "SAID NO ONE EVER."

However, Twi-hards are blaming the interviewer for keeping the interview short, and not focusing on Stewart's awkwardness.

On the comment section on People magazine's article, fans defended Stewart. One commenter said, "It wasn't Kristens fault but Virginies for not choose the right questions but asked her one and the same question over and over to describe the fragrance. Describe FB in 3 words, describe FB in your own words, what movie could FB be......*smh*." Another fan said, "I don't particularly like Kristen Stewart, but it sounds like the interviewer was the one that was not on top of her game." Another said, "The interviewer is responsible to ask the right amount of questions for the time specified, and to keep it flowing."

One more fan said, "I didn't watch the interview, however it sounds like the interviewer was unprepared. Kristen Stewart isn't known for being the most talkative person, the interviewer should have known that and prepared with more questions, or thought of some on the spot."

One commenter liked Stewart in the interview.

"I think Kristen did great! I agree with it also being the interviewer's responsibility to have a good amount of questions and to expand on those as well. She even said there was 5,000 questions. Then why did she ask the same one a hundred times?" the commenter said. "But anyways, Kristen I think did great. She has gotten a lot better. Plus, that's just how she is in interviews. People just say it didn't go well because she doesn't answer them the "right" way like many people celebrities are practiced to do. Plus this was a live interview, give her some slack I bet almost any actress would be a little awkward as well."

Another Stewart fan said, "She is beautiful and sweet, I'm with her for whatever comes!!"

One fan was in support despite the recent events that happened with Stewart, spefically her cheating scandal with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director that left every "Twilight" fan hurt and feeling betrayed because Robsten is supposed to be forever.

"Kristen was so unprepared for this interview. I felt so bad for her because she really tried but this interview was tough for her. Too much, too soon after her ordeal. Love her anyway," the fan said.

Near the end of the interview, when asked to say something to fans in French, she said, "It's a goal of mine, but I'm so not there yet," Stewart explained. "I've been a little preoccupied."

Preoccupied with Robert Pattinson maybe.
