HTC Windows Phone 8X, Nokia Lumia 920 Get Hot Cyber Monday Deals, Low Price, Free Headphones, High Demand [SPECS]

Windows Phone 8 seems to be making headway as the Nokia Lumia 920 is in high demand and the HTC Windows Phone 8X gets rave reviews following its release, all in time for Cyber Monday.

According to a report by Nasdaq, Nokia sold out its flagship Lumia 920 on Black Friday, Nov. 23.

"[The Lumia] 920 Windows 8 Phone on AT&T (NYSE:T) was completely sold out by mid-day," Trip Chowdhry, the Managing Director of Equity Research at Global Equities Research, wrote in a note to investors and reporters. He added that he was unable to get a converged view on the number of units each store received.

Nasdaq also pointed out that Nokia commands 59 percent of the Windows Phone market according to one study, which is a good look for the Finnish company, Microsoft, and investors.

In another report by TheMarketsAreOpen blog, Amazon is running out of cyan and yellow-colored Lumia 920's because of high demand. The white and black versions can be ordered through Amazon Wireless, but it will take 1-2 weeks to ship instead of immediately.

So why are shoppers willing to go with a Windows 8 phone than other leading smartphones in the market including Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5? One reason can be that users just want to try something new, and are getting tired of their Apple and Android products. Another reason could be the specs of these two Windows 8 devices.

The HTC Phone 8X runs on Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 and features a Qualcomm S4 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor with 16GB storage and 1GB RAM. It has a 4.3-inch super LCD 2 touch screen with 1280 x 720 resolution with HD 720p resolution Gorilla Glass 2. It is priced at $100 for the 8GB model available in blue and yellow with AT&T and the 16GB is $200 only in blue.

The Lumia 920 also runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8. It takes many of the physical design elements from previous generations of Lumia handsets, but improves on internal hardware and display technology. Some of the new tech specs include PureMotion HD+ 4.5 inch display (1280 x 768 resolution), Dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, NFC chip with 332ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 2, 2,000mAh battery, and Qi wireless charging. It has an 8.7 megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss lens. It has rounded edges and comes in colors black, cyan, red, white, and yellow. The 32GB version sells for $99 with an AT&T two-year contract.

Current Cyber Monday discounts may make the phones even a sweeter deal.

According to Pop Herald, Nokia announced that Lumia 920 purchases from Nov. 20 to Dec. 31 are eligible for a free pair of Monster Purity headphones with $90. The offer is only valid in the U.S.

For the HTC 8X, SolarPanelReviews said that some deals include a $14.99 price on the 8GB unit and $124.99 price on the 16GB model. Amazon.com is selling the Windows 8 phones are $39.99 for the blue 8GB with AT&T, and the regular $199.99 price for the blue 16GB phone.
