"Paper Towns" fever is now on full swing. With more than a month away from its release, fans can no longer wait to see the highly-anticipated adaptation of John Green's best-selling novel.

In this year's Book Con held Saturday night, "Paper Towns" panel dished out some interesting details about the upcoming movie, USA Today reports. The panel included author John Green, together with the film's lead actor, Nat Wolff as well as co-star Justice Smith, director Jack Schreier, screenwriter Michael H. Weber and composer Ryan Lott.

During the discussion, Green revealed that the "Paper Towns" movie will be completely different from his last year's blockbuster hit, "The Fault in Our Stars," saying that "Paper Towns" consists of various genres or "moments" including drama, comedy and even mystery. Hence, it differs from the former as that was mainly drama.

The panel also revealed that the movie adaptation will contain some changes from the book. However, faithful book fans do not need to worry, as the movie will still "preserve the meaning of the book," Weber said. Weber further added that these changes "are hopefully better for the movie. But Green welcomes the deviations made in his book, so far as the theme of his story is still clear and present to the audiences.

"It's really hard to make a movie about how bad young men are at imagining young women. ... We do girls a disservice by putting them on a pedestal or romanticizing them," Green explained.  "That idea was what was most important to us to preserve." Incidentally, Schreier confirmed during the panel discussion that Green made a cameo appearance in the movie. 

Actor Nat Wolff, who plays the role of Q or Quentin, assured fans that amidst the liberties taken in the movie, these changes would not affect its quality. "The main feeling that you get from reading the book, we tried to get that in the movie," Wolff said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

One of the topics discussed in the panel was one of the main characters in the story, Margo. Green explained the complexity of Margo, saying that she is not "a miracle", unlike how she was treated in the story by Q, and that the character tends to be unfair and selfish. But Green said that Margo is not to be blamed, because "treating a person as a miracle is always a mistake." In the movie, supermodel Cara Delevingne plays the role of Margo, and Green admitted that he was not very familiar with the model prior to working with her in the film.

Aside from the movie, fans are also anticipating the release of the movie's official soundtrack which will be out by June 16. The group confirmed that the soundtrack will feature a duet performance by the actor together with his brother, Alex. A new and exclusive trailer showing Q and Radar's friendship is also set to be aired next week.
