The new "Archie" comics has been released, and Archie Andrews is back with skinny jeans and a Justin Bieber haircut, Bloomberg reports.

After years of experimentation on how to modernize the popular 75-year-old comic book, "Archie" #1 debuted on Wednesday at the Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego, Calif. The script was written by Mark Waid.

The reborn art was made by Fiona Staple, Jack Morelli, Andre Szymaowicz and Jen Vaughn. The comic comes with full-colored 32 pages for $3.99.

"Fiona was our first choice," Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics Publisher/CO-CEO, told Bloomberg. "If she said ‘Yes,' there was going to be no conversations with anybody else.We were so lucky she said 'Yes.'"

"ARCHIE #1 is a milestone for this company, in every way," said Goldwater on the Archie Comics website.

He continues, "We are pulling back the curtain and showing fans the true origin of Archie, the love triangle and so much more, under the watchful eye of two of the absolute best comic book creators on the planet - Mark Waid and Fiona Staples."

"Not only are they brimming with talent, but they're huge Archie fans", Goldwater adds. "They will honor the past while building a new." 

Here is a list of what to expect with the first issue of the new "Archie" comics:

1. The old Archie is having a major makeover. At least, in looks.

According to Business Insider, Archie is back, but not in the way everyone expected. The red-haired teen in polyester pants is missing in this new comics.

The face of America's typical teenager has changed. He now wears skinny jeans, denim jacket and hair that is more blond than red. The good news is, his freckles are still there.

2. Betty and Jughead will be there, but don't expect to see Veronica.

The classic girl-next-door Betty comes back tomboyish. She now wears a crop top and ripped jeans with her hair tight in a messy bun.

Meanwhile, Jughead is just as cool as before. Also, he still wears that crown he's been wearing since the 1960 illustrations.

The love triangle between Archie and best friends, Betty and Veronica, has kept the readers turning the pages. However, Veronica is nowhere in the first issue. The Riverdale princess is probably on her way to bring more surprises in the next issue.

3. Techy gadgets

The new comics is not only bringing modern graphics. Mark Waid, known for his works on "The Flash," "Superman: Birthright," and "Captain America," considered what best represents the social life of teenagers nowadays.

In the same talk with Bloomberg, he said, "Kids don't socialize the same way they did 20, 30 years ago. Kids socialize almost exclusively on social media. That's antithetical to drama."

When Vulture asked Mark Waid on what he would say to sell an "Archie" story in 2015, he answered saying, "That funny is timeless."
