Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Release Date in October? Stellar Specs Leaked! Features & Price Details Here [Rumors]

The latest report that point to the existence of the long-demanded Microsoft Surface Pro 4 claims that the hybrid is coming this October. Digitimes was allegedly tipped by its unnamed sources that the Microsoft is preparing its supply chain to ship components of the device by September.

As per Phone Arena, the Redmond-based tech firm will retain most of the components of the Surface Pro 3 in manufacturing its successor. The Surface Pro 4 will keep the large display and sophisticated slim form factor just like the current hybrid available.

However, being an upgrade, the device will be made powerful by making use of Intel's Skylake processor, which is the latest in the array and should be able to do a tremendous job in upping the graphic performance level of the Surface Pro 4. It should also work more efficiently with Windows 10 on board.

Tech Times adds that for the ultimate snappy performance, Microsoft will rev up the internal memory to a whopping 16GB. The site adds that there is a possibility that a 1TB model of the device will be made available. Its mega successful predecessor came in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 500GB.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is acclaimed for its incredible power. Dressed in tasteful magnesium alloy, the two-in-one device looks as good as it performs. When used as a laptop, its inside does eye-popping notebook wonders. As a tablet, its portability is highly praised.

According to Digitimes, Microsoft shipped 200,000 to 250,000 units per month in the first quarter. That rose to 300,000 when the Surface Pro 3 was introduced. The tech titan is expecting that these figures will double upon the unveiling of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

The same site says that although hybrid devices aren't always the one always sought after, Microsoft is pushing the envelope in putting them on the map by continually bringing new Surface tablets to the fold in a bid to breed more business opportunities.

As for Hexus, this is the year the demand for two-in-one devices will gain momentum. The site expects that by the end of this year, there will be 70 percent more hybrid tablets shipped as compared to last year. This is why there's higher expectation on the Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft is pressured to deliver.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is being poised to be the direct rival of the purported Apple iPad Pro, which, should it materialize, will be the first entry of the company in the two-in-one field. It is important to note though that neither tech companies have confirmed the devices.
