Harley Quinn Gets 2nd Series! DC Launching 'Harley's Little Black Book'

Harley Quinn, known to be the most annoying villain in comic books, is getting a new ongoing series called "Harley's Little Black Book", DC Comics announced.

"Harley's Little Black Book" is hitting shelves in December as a brand-new bimonthly series featuring Harley Quinn and other familiar heroes and villains.

Quinn is currently part of the ongoing team-up series with Power Girl, where they are stranded in a forgotten dimension where the warlord Vartox reigns.

The sixth and final issue that will conclude the epic miniseries is set for release on November 25, a month before Quinn's new series.

Each "Harley's Little Black Book" issue will feature one of the biggest DC heroes or villains. The first issue kicks off with the help of Wonder Woman.

Harley Quinn is celebrating her new series by invading the covers of other comic books. However, no cover art has been released yet.

Though Quinn is already making a name in the comic world, she is one of the characters that did not originate from the comics.

She first appeared in the 8th episode of the TV series "Batman: The Animated Series". She became well known as the humorous female sidekick of Joker and a devoted lover of the villain.

Harley first stepped into the world of comic books in the issue "The Batman Adventures: Mad Love", where the character's story was revealed.

Quinn, whose original identity was Dr. Harleen Quinzel, was a psychiatrist who excelled in her job. She had been assigned to Arkham Asylum, a home for insane criminals. She had taken an interest in Joker, one of the criminals in the asylum, and asked to be assigned to him.

Soon, she fell in love with Joker, blinded by his control and manipulation. She also helped him break out of Arkham and dedicated her life to him as his sidekick, bearing the new name Harley Quinn.

Harley Quinn is often energetic and animated, but she is agile and dangerous in combat. She is also known for being very annoying and irritating.

Here are some character books, listed by DC Comics, that may feature Quinn cover art and characters that might be featured in one of the issues:

Harley Quinn #23

Batman #47

The Flash #47

Green Arrow #47

Green Lantern #47

Justice League #47

Justice League of America #47

Superman #47

Wonder Woman #47

"Harley's Little Black Book' is written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. Conner is also working on the comic book art. The book hits stores on December 2, 2015.
