Marnie the Dog of Instagram Gets Her Very Own Book

The infinitely adorable Marnie the Dog, who is regarded as the most popular rescue dog on Instagram, will be the center of a new "gift humor" book. Simply titled "Marnie the Dog: I'm a Book," the volume will be penned by the pooch's adoptive owner Shirley Braha and will be published by Orion.

"How can you not fall in love with Marnie's adorable smile? It's no wonder she is one of the most popular dogs on the internet, and her book will be the perfect gift for all dog lovers this Christmas," Orion non-fiction publishing director Anna Valentine said via The Bookseller.

"Marnie the Dog: I'm a Book" will be released on Oct. 27.  The book will follow Marnie's journey, "terrific tails," as described by Braha, from the streets to the limelight. The book will also feature never-before-seen photos.

For the uninitiated, Marnie the Dog was rescued in Connecticut back in 2012 as detailed by Bustle. At that time, the cute little Shih Tzu was 10-years-old. In the shelter, she was addressed as Stinky. When Braha adopted her, she named her Marnie after the musician Marnie Stern.

The duo lived in New York and instantly clicked. Braha loved taking pictures of Marnie, who is now 12-year-old and insanely famous. The doggy's sweetness, her amazing taste in fashion and her crazy escapades all chronicled on her Instagram earned her 1.7million followers and counting.

Marnie's left eye was said to be blind when Braha first got her although the cloudiness in it cleared up as days went by. Fans will also always notice the pooch's head tilt and her tongue hanging out. This is apparently the cause of a Vestibular Syndrome, which Marnie experienced briefly.

Her Tumblr page explains that she "just has a long tongue, and has always had a long tongue, and it's awesome." It also read "Marnie's eyes are the window to her soul, but much can be gleaned from the status of her tongue."

Marnie loves "going for long walks, smelling everything especially grass, exploring new spaces, running up and down hallways, partying, and lots and lots of sleeping." Braha also takes her to small parties, which makes the senior dog "happier than ever."

She has a love for broccoli, chicken, watermelon, muffins, Greek yogurt and eggs. Two things the cutie pie hates bath and being left alone. However, she loves to be photographed. She even posed for a photo as she read her own book.
