Jackson Rathbone has brought a son into this world! Don't worry, he isn't going to be a vampire.

The 27-year-old actor and musician, best known for his role as handsome vampire Jasper Cullen in The Twilight Saga, became a first-time parent, along with his girlfriend Sheila Hafsadi, 24, on Thursday morning, according to US Weekly.

"Thank you ALL for the love & support! "Rathbone said Thursday night on his Twitter page. "Sheila & I couldn't be happier to have such a beautiful, healthy baby boy, Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI."

Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI was born at 9:43 a.m. and weight 8 pounds, 11 ounces at birth.

The Twilight actor's rep told US Weekly in February that the couple was ""thrilled and excited to be expecting their first child."

Rathbone reportedly met burlesque dancer Hafsadi during a tour stop with his band 100 Monkeys.

"One of the greatest things I could expect to be in life is a father," the actor-musician told US Weekly at the Hollywood premiere of Gone back in February. "I'm very excited!

For parenting advice, Rathbone won't be consulting his vampire parents, Dr. Carlisle and Esme Cullen. He will ask his real dad for advice on how to be a parent.

"I have one of the greatest dads in the world," he said. "He's just been giving me amazing advice."

Rathbone posted pictures of him and his father celebrating the birth smoking cigars on Twitter and saying, "The original (well, the fourth..) Bone Daddy! Monroe Jackson Rathbone IV celebrating the birth of MJR VI."

"Taking a cue from MJR IV... What a glorious day! Love and respect, Bone Daddy."

The happy news came on the same day that fellow "Twilight" star Cam Gigandet announced that he is expecting his second child with longtime love Dominique Geisendorff, according to MTV News.

 "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" movie is going to be released November 16, 2012.
