Comic-Con 2012 San Deigo: What to Expect on Opening Day (Schedule)

Comic-Con 2012 San Diego is one of the highly anticipated events of the year. Running from July 12-15 at the San Diego Convention Center, many fans want to know which of their favorite TV shows or movies are going to be there.

Anxious fans are already waiting in line for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2." The panel, which will take place from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in Hall H, will include a sneak peek from the epic conclusion of the "Twilight" films. There will be exclusive footage from the hotly anticipated upcoming movie, and also a Q&A session providing details on the movie.

According to MTV News, there will be a good chance that most of the favorite stars, such as Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, will be there to not only drive the fans crazy, but talk to them as well about the movie

Entertainment Weekly senior writer Sara Vilkomerson, who is known as the "mag's resident 'Twilight' reporter extraordinaire," told MTV News that fans should expect something extra special before, after, and during the panel.

Also at Comic-Con will be something special for die-hard Star Trek fans. All seven seasons of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" will be retransferred into high-definition. The first season will be released on July 24.

Walt Disney Studios will host a Q&A panel with directors Tim Burton, Sam Raimi, and Rich Moore, in Hall H about their upcoming movies: "Frankenweenie" (releasing Oct. 5), "Oz: The Great and Powerful" (2013), and "Wreck-it Ralph" (Nov. 2).

Nickelodeon will be having an "interactive" panel called "Butt Biting & Magical Mischief." The panel will include casts from both "The Fairly Odd Parents" and "T.U.F.F. Puppy." The fans will be able to interview the cast directly. They will also see a sneak peek of the Nickelodeon live-action movie "A Fairly Odd Christmas," which is set to release later this year.

Popular TV shows will be there as well. "Teen Wolf's" panel will include Q&A with cast members Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien, Crystal Reed, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden and Colton Haynes, along with executive producer Jeff Davis. USA Network's "Psych" panel will dedicate the afternoon answering fan questions. There will also be video clips produced exclusively for Comic-Con, "a never-before-seen 'first look' at the Season 7 episodes currently in production."

Showtime's series "Dexter" panel will give fans a Comic-Con exclusive viewing of the first two minutes of the season premiere. Also, the fans will be the first to see the world premiere trailer of the series "Homeland."

Comedy Central's hit series "Workaholics" will be at Comic-Con as well. Stars and executive producers will be at the panel taking fans behind the scenes and give a sneak peek into upcoming new episodes. Fans will also be able to compete for a chance to have their name written into a future episode.
