The Nexus 7 tablet is the gadget that everyone is talking about. The tablet has become super popular in the rivalry against Apple's iPad and Amazon's Kindle Fire.

Recent reports say that customers can now by the Nexus 7 on eBay if they don't want to wait for the ever-increasing shipping time of the tablet.

According to PC World, a recent search of the auction site revealed new GB Nexus 7 tablets for sale with prices starting at around $255. For the 16GB models, the prices start at $329.99.

On Google's online store, GooglePlay, the 8GB model sells for $199 and are currently have a shipping time of one to two weeks after purchase, and it says "ship soon" on its website. The 16GB models sell for $249 and may take three to four weeks to ship.

According to Droid-Life, shipping time for the 8GB has increased from one to two weeks to three-four weeks. This is why customers may resort to eBay to get faster service, but pay more money.

On eBay, shipping charges vary from $10 and up. Most sellers offer speedy shipping as a selling point.

"Just got this in hand today direct from Google and discovered they shipped more units than I required!" wrote one eBay seller, who was willing to part with his 8GB "extra" unit for a minimum bid of $249, according to PC World.

"I have it in hand and will ship it the same day," added another seller, offering an 8GB model with a minimum bid of $285.99.

The Nexus 7 has a 7-inch screen. According to Jobs & Hire, the device has powerful hardware and a useful design that will enhance the customer experience. It's a very convenient size considering its dimensions, and it provides the same features as bigger tablets bringing the web, email, games, and social media feeds to users' fingertips. The device also brings to life a 1280x 800 IPS touchscreen, comparable to the third generation iPad. It will come with Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth, a camera, and GPS, and be thinner and lighter.

In addition to GooglePlay and eBay, other online retailers are selling the tablet. However, only few of them are in stock.

According to CNET, GameStop, which is selling the 16GB edition, is showing the tablet as backordered. Further details reveal that the gaming outlet has ordered more stock from the vendor, and blogging site ITProPortal says another shipment of tablets is expected to reach GameStop in August.

Staples, Office Depot, and Sam's Club all show the Nexus 7 as currently out of stock with no further information as to its availability. LA Times reported that Office Depot and Staple won't even let customers add the tablet to the cart.

Customers may have to wait a while for their new Nexus 7, but as soon as more shipment comes in, the tablet will fly right off the shelves again.
