Rihanna and Chris Brown 'Can't Seem to Stay Away From Each Other;' Details on Confusing Relationship

Chris Brown and Rihanna can't seem to stay away from each other.

Their relationship has been talked about in the media ever since, we can't remember. Even though Brown has a girlfriend, it still seems that Rihanna is still his number one girl.

"Rihanna and Chris have spoken since she did her interview with Oprah," an insider revealed to RadarOnline.com.

"They have a very complicated and intense relationship even though Chris has a girlfriend. The fact is, Chris and Rihanna just can't stay away from each other. There is a lot of love there -- it's definitely not a healthy situation for either one of them."

Very complicated it seems.

Rihanna recently did an emotional interview with Oprah about Brown's assault back in 2009.

"I lost my best friend. Everything I knew switched ... switched in a night and I couldn't control that...," Rihanna told Winfrey in her hometown of Saint Michel. "I had to deal with that and that's not easy for me to understand or interpret. It's not easy to interpret on camera. Not with the world watching."

"It became a circus and I felt protective," she said in a preview for the show, which was released on Thursday.

Rihanna, 24, ended her relationship with the "Yeah 3x" singer in February 2009 after he assaulted her. The beating happened in Los Angeles on the eve of the Grammy Awards. Pictures of Rihanna's badly beaten face created media frenzy.

Brown publicly apologized, but his career and public image took a dive. Brown's career has since recovered, and he won his first Grammy award earlier this year for the hit album "F.A.M.E."

"It was a weird, confusing space to be in. Because as angry as I was - as angry and hurt and betrayed - I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help. And who's gOing to help him?

"Nobody's going to say he needs help. Everybody's going to say he's a monster, without looking at the source. And I was more concerned about him," she added.

Contact Music said that Rihanna also talked about what she wants in a man.

"''I want a man that loves me, cherishes me, values me, but they have to know my value in order to value me," the "We Found Love" singer said. "They have to know my worth, and they can only know my worth if I know my worth. I want them to respect me, but I want fun times. I want laughs more than anything.''

The episode will air on "Oprah's Next Chapter" episode on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 9 p.m. on OWN.
