Robert Pattinson, Leonardo Dicaprio Go on ‘Guys-Only’ Vacation

Many have called Robert Pattinson "the next Leonardo Dicaprio," and apparently, Dicaprio agrees.

The 37-year-old star has reportedly invited Robert Pattinson on a boys' getaway in the wake of Kristen Stewart's affair scandal.

The Hollywood star reached out to Pattinson through their mutual friend Reese Witherspoon, after the Twilight star's romance was rocked when Kristen admitted she had cheated on him with married director Rupert Sanders.

DiCaprio and Pattinson were allegedly introduced by mutual friend Reese Witherspoon, who worked with Pattinson on the 2011 film "Water For Elephants," and whose home Pattinson famously stayed in after news broke of his girlfriend Kristen Stewart's affair with Rupert Sanders. Witherspoon and DiCaprio met two years ago at a fundraiser for Haiti.

According to gossip site Showbiz Spy, Leo wants Rob to join him on a guys' only trip to Puerto Rico to celebrate the wrap of "Runner, Runner," a film Dicaprio is producing, and to help him put his troubles behind him.

A source said: "Leo has been one of Rob's role models for years, and Rob was totally taken by surprise when Leo called him.

"Leo invited Rob along on a getaway he's planning when he's in Puerto Rico for the wrap party on the movie he's producing, Runner, Runner. Leo wants to book a mansion at a secret location on the coast so he and his pals can party in private. He's kept an eye on Rob's career ever since people started calling him the 'next Leonardo DiCaprio.' Leo figured it would be great for him to hang out with a bunch of laid-back guys," said a source for Showbiz Spy. "Leo joked they could compare baseball cap collections -- and told Rob before he knew it, he'd be dating a model, just like him!" (DiCaprio is dating 23-year-old lingerie model Erin Heatherton.)

The source continued: "Leo figured it would be great for him to hang out with a bunch of laid-back guys."

Pattinson has clearly been weathering a storm of non-stop publicity and drama in the wake of his and Stewart's breakup. He recently sold the Los Feliz home he shared with Stewart, and on Monday, Creation Entertainment, the company behind the "Twilight" conventions, released a statement informing fans that neither Stewart nor Pattinson would be appearing at the fan conventions to celebrate the last film installment of the "Twilight" series, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

While Pattinson has been seen partying, doing promotional events for his film "Cosmopolis,"and generally trying to move on with his life, Stewart has kept out of the public eye. Stewart hasn't committed to any public appearances until Sept. 6, when she is scheduled to promote her new film "On The Road," an adaptation of the Jack Kerouac novel, at the Toronto Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Kristen has been photographed in public for the first time since pictures showing her getting cosy with her "Snow White And The Huntsman" director emerged.

Pop Sugar has pictures of the star, clad in a midriff-baring top, a baseball cap and shades, looking solemn as she stepped out in LA.

"Rob's dealing with a lot of indecision, but their mutual friends think they will get back together," an insider tells Us Weekly. "Kristen, after all, has said she wants to have his children."

Only a few short months ago, Pattinson wanted that too. But in light of everything that's happened, it's hard to tell if the Twilight actor's feelings have changed. "He's a great guy," adds the insider. "This truly isn't the end of them."
