'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting News: Colin Egglesfield Reads Script in Deep, Sexy Voice; Is He the Perfect Christian Grey? (LISTEN)

It looks like Colin Egglesfield is back in the forefront for Christian Grey.

His name is one of the stars that are linked to the much coveted role in the upcoming steamy "Fifty Shades of Grey" film, and he has a reason to be in the running.

In a radio interview with Kiss 92.5 Hit Music's Roz & Mocha, Egglesfield talked about fans putting his name in the "Fifty Shades" mix.

"I haven't even read the book yet," Egglefield said. "It's flattering to be considered for it but I have to read it."

The radio show then asked the 39-year-old actor if he would be open to playing Christian in the movie.

"Are you saying I have some sort of sexual deviancy about me?" Christian jokingly asked in response.

Then, "The Client List" actor was given some lines from the "Fifty Shades" novel. He played Christian, while Damnit Maurie (he's a guy) played Anastasia.

Egglesfield jokingly said, "Where's my riding whip?"

Then they read the script.

Anastasia: "You're a sadist?"

Christian: "I'm a dominant."

A: "What does that mean?

C: "It means I want you to willingly surrender yourself to me in all things."

A: "Why wouldn't I do that?

C: "To please me," Egglesfield whispers.

A: Please you? That's exactly what I want to do. I want you to be damned delighted with me. It's a revelation."

Egglesfield then yells, "Well, get on your knees!"

This radio interview might actually be the proof that Egglesfield has what it takes to pull the erotic role off. (LISTEN HERE)

"Fifty Shades of Grey," written by bestselling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM while trying to understand their complicated relationship.

In July, Egglesfield joked with Access Hollywood about playing the role and gave a similar response.

"Why do you think I would be Christian? What are you saying? Are you saying I have a devious sexual side that I need some therapy to help treat?" Egglesfield joked.

"Is that what you're saying? Because I could do it," he added of the Christian Grey role. "I think I could do it."

In recent news, rumors are spreading that "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder was reportedly meeting with people in Los Angeles next week.

He revealed this information to his fans at "The Vampire Diaries" Convention in New Jersey.

However, producer Michael De Luca denied reports about this, and said they were just rumors.

"Haven't met, nothing scheduled, just dealing with prospective writers right now, thanks for being interested!" De Luca tweeted to a fan when asked about Somerhalder meeting with "people."

He then responded to another fan an hour later, "We haven't met on this, appears to be a rumor."

Recently on Twitter, producer Dana Brunetti let his fans know, "Cast of a film is usually decided on with a directors," which implies that casting cannot take place without a director, and screenwriter for that matter.

De Luca and Brunetti took to Twitter before to address rumors about the casting.

"All the rumors on #FiftyShades are just rumors... No one has been cast in any role. We have to get a writer and a director first."

According to recent polls, "Percy Jackson & the Olympians" star Alexandra Daddario and Somerhalder are the winning pair as of right now. They are up against stars such as "Gilmore Girls" Alexis Bledel, "Game of Thrones" Emilia Clarke, "White Collar" Matt Bomer, and "Superman" Henry Cavill.
