Afghan Taliban Threatens to 'Kill, Kidnap' Prince Harry: ‘Eliminate Him’ (Pics, Video)

After the scandal that erupted from photos of Prince Harry appearing naked in a VIP while playing a game of strip-pool with young women, apparently, the members of royal family aren't the only ones who are miffed with Prince Harry. The Afghan Taliban said on Monday they were doing everything in their power to try to kidnap or assassinate Britain's Prince Harry, who arrived for a new tour of duty in Afghanistan last week to fly attack helicopters.

Queen Elizabeth's grandson is in Afghanistan on a four-month tour, based out of Camp Bastion in volatile Helmand province, where he will be on the front line in the NATO-led war against Taliban insurgents.

"We are using all our strength to get rid of him, either by killing or kidnapping," Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed location.

"We have informed our commanders in Helmand to do whatever they can to eliminate him," Mujahid added, declining to go into detail on what he dubbed the "Harry operations."

The 27-year-old prince, who is third in line to the throne, took up his new role two weeks after he was photographed frolicking naked in Las Vegas and controversy ensued.

The gossip website TMZ originally published the photos showing the loose cannon prince cavorting naked around a pool table with some equally uninhibited women. Sources told TMZ that Harry and friends invited a bevy of beauties up to his VIP suite at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino.

One photo shows Harry in the buff being embraced from behind by a topless woman, while another has him pulling the same move on a nude woman next to the pool table. Clarence House, the prince's official residence and household, told The Daily News that Harry was "on a private holiday and due back in the UK soon."

Though, it was hardly the first time we'd seen Prince Harry's name in the tabloids. The naked internet pictures showing Harry, 27, and nude women, are the latest gaffe in a long list of scandals that have marked his public life, which also included the Prince taking part in a drunken, fully-clothed 3 a.m. swim race in a casino's pool with U.S. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte the same week. In the past he's made the papers for doing everything from smoking marijuana as a teenager to a nightclub scuffle with a paparazzi photographer.

Known in the military as Captain Wales, Prince Harry first served in Afghanistan in 2008 as an on-ground air controller, but his tour was cut short when a news blackout, designed to protect him while on the front line, collapsed.

The Ministry of Defense has said the threat to Prince Harry's life in Afghanistan was less severe in helicopters.

Prince Harry's older brother, William, is also a pilot. The 30-year-old Duke of Cambridge serves as a search-and-rescue pilot in the Royal Air Force (RAF), and even rescued rescue an injured Canadian hiker from the coast of Anglesey, Wales Aug. 24.
