Beatles Lead Guitarist George Harrison Gets Comic Book Treatment for Memoir

The life of Beatles' very own lead guitarist George Harrison will be told in the form of a comic book by StormFront Comics. Titled "Orbit: George Harrison," the memoir will show Harrison before he came to be a music legend as a member of what is considered is greatest and most influential rock band of the era.

"No one could begin to estimate the contribution Harrison and the Beatles have given us," StormFront Comics president Darren G. Davis said in a press statement picked up by Entertainment Weekly.

"George Harrison is the perfect choice for our Orbit series. He was so much more than just a rock star. He is a respected musician, film producer and humanitarian, I consider him a standard-bearer of peace and spirituality," Davis gushed.

The book will be chockfull of stories and illustrations that will trace the path of the multi-instrumentalist as a young boy with a dream, setting out to make a legacy and eventually making that happen before he died in November 2001 of lung cancer that made its way to his brain.

Harrison wrote the lyrics to some of the most popular songs of the Beatles including "Within You Without You," "I Need You," "You Like Me Too Much" and "Don't Bother Me."

As what has always been a fact of great popularity and life under the limelight and in front of the camera, the comic book memoir will also open up about the breakdowns and the biggest achievements of Harrison in his career. Apart from his efforts in making a name for himself in the industry, his growth as a person will also shine through the memoir's leaves.

As all this is shared in each of its 32 pages, Harrison's principles on religion and his conversions to Hinduism will be talked about as well. Writer Carlos Pagola Morales was in charge of putting all these stories together while Angel Bernuy took care of the drawings.

"Orbit: George Harrison" is ready to hit the shelves this week. Entertainment Weekly has a preview of the comic book available. Comic Flea Market says that there will only be 100 copies printed so it's best to keep an eye out on the comic book. Amazon offers a digital version of the memoir.

StormFront Comics has been giving biographies the comic book treatment ever since the "Orbit" series begun. The lives of celebrated artists and musicians Alice Cooper, Bono, Bon Jovi, Howard Stern, and Ozzy Osborne, Jerry Garcia, Keith Richards, Metallica and Stephen King have all been made into comics by the publisher.
