In lieu of the holiday season, Barnes & Noble sent out a special reminder to all holiday shoppers about the "new NOOK owners welcome offer" which entitled all new users to a $5 credit to spend on digital books, apps, movies, TV shows, newspapers or magazines from the expansive NOOK Store when registering an account to a new NOOK device.
