Galaxy Note 2 Release Date, Verizon, Specs: Samsung to Launch Likely in October, T-Mobile Version in Stores Nov. 15

New reports suggest that Samsung could release the Galaxy Note 2 in October.

According to PCTablet, the "phablet" will be available in Canada on Oct. 30, which could mean that it will be available for U.S. markets also by October.

Carrier TELUS announced that Oct. 30 is the official release date for the Note 2. Mobilcity is taking pre-orders through the website. Other Canadian carriers include Bell, WIND, Rogers, Videotron, and SaskTel.

Samsung has scheduled an eventl for Oct. 24, which reports say that Samsung will release the Note 2 on this date in the U.S.

The Galaxy Note 2 is currently up for pre-order with U.S. Cellular for $299.99.

For AT&T, the carrier issued a press release on Oct. 1 confirming that it will offer the highly anticipated "phablet" hybrid and that it will be available in the very near future, according to ChristianPost.

"Arriving later this year running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), Galaxy Note 2 with 4G LTE combines the productivity of a tablet with the convenience of a smartphone and the S Pen features you need to unleash your creativity," wrote AT&T.

However, they did not provide a release date.

T-Mobile has finally announced details about Samsung's Galaxy Note 2.

According to the press release, the Galaxy Note 2 will be available in the coming weeks. It will come in Titanium Gray and Marble White color options.

"The Samsung Galaxy Note II is the latest innovative device to join T-Mobile's portfolio. It takes the all-in-one device concept to the next level and we anticipate it will replace many standalone devices consumers have today," said Brad Duea, senior vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA. "When combined with our Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan, the Galaxy Note II is a true powerhouse device with exclusive features, amazing 4G experiences and superior value that only T-Mobile can deliver."

The Galaxy Note 2 with T-Mobile is similar to other specs for other U.S. Carriers, however, it includes an entertainment feature.

T-Mobile included a preloaded new racing game on the device, which will include all three free levels.

In new reports, the T-Mobile version may hit stores on Nov. 15.

According to EasternMorningHerald, "The press image for the T-Mobile Note 2 shows the device with the date 'November 15' and a time of '12:45 PM,' so it's possible that would be when the Galaxy Note 2 will drop at T-Mobile stores nationwide."

In terms of Verizon, PopHerald reported that the carrier is supposed to unveil their Galaxy Note 2 mode, the CDMA Galaxy Note 2, on Oct. 24.

Samsung's "phablet" will feature a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and a rear 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and front 1.9 megapixel CT camera. It has a 1.6 Ghz quad-core processor and 4G LTE data speeds. It is also expected to have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed and come with the S Pen experience and comes with up to 64GB of memory with 2GB RAM and a microSD slow up to 64GB.
