The popularity of fantasy TV series has been phenomenal, taking the audiences by the visual splendor and storytelling. This trend shows that filmmakers authentically want to utilize popular sources to produce captivating screenplays.

Shadow and Bone

Netflix aired the fantasy adaptation in April 2021 based on Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse series of novels. Its background is Ravka's country in the middle of a war, which follows Alina on the path of discovering her power to save her country.

The series combines magic, romance, and adventure, receiving high ratings for its gripping storylines, well-developed characters, and diverse casting. Despite its acclaim, the show was canceled after two seasons. Still, its quality remained high, showcasing a faithful adaptation of Bardugo's work.

The Shannara Chronicles

Game of Thrones

With the TV version of Cassandra Clare's "The Mortal Instruments" series, the new story differs from the original one. Still, it explores the Shadow World from a fresh perspective. Although not entirely faithful, the remarkable grab of the storyline and improved production quality make the show worth watching.
