Who will play the leading role of Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey?"

That is what every "FSOG" fan is asking around.

Fitness guru Jessie Pavelka was and still is one of the leading fan favorites for Christian. He hasn't said much in the past couple of weeks, but he recently revealed on an interview that he would [jokingly] play Christian Grey.

The "Fifty Shades" trilogy ("Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker," "Fifty Shades Freed"), written by bestselling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM while trying to understand their complicated relationship.

In a new interview with TheDailyQuirk, when asked if he would take on the much coveted role of Christian, Pavelka, 29, said, "I am. It's reminded to me everyday ;)."

When asked how he feels about his fans thinking he is the perfect Christian Grey, he said, "I think it's great and I'm extremely flattered.  It's amazing how social media has changed the game in T.V. and Film.  If this would have happened a few years back, I don't think that my name would be in the mix at all.  I am lucky to be involved in the beginning stages of it all."

He joked about his dream role, "Christian Grey of course! Jk, I can't say that because I haven't seen the script.  The artist in me wants a role that will challenge me (not that CG wouldn't).  I like a character that goes on a journey.  A character that has had it all, lost it all and is trying to get back to just being ok.  I love the agony of defeat just as much as I love the thrill of victory."

When asked who would he be excited to work with, Pavelka responded, "My wife." His wife, Sitara Hewitt, 30, is a Canadian actress. She starred in TV shows such as "Lost" and "Little Mosque on the Prarie."

Was it really a joke? Maybe Pavelka just saying what his fans want to hear, or does he really want the role of Christian Grey? We think it's the latter.

In July, Pavelka tweeted on his page that he is interested in the role.

"Thanks for all the support! I would definitely be interested in the role of Christian Grey. At the moment my attention/focus is on AYTSML," he tweeted.

The star is just a little older than Christian, but fans are putting him in the spotlight for his sexy, chiseled bod and grey eyes.

Pavelka is best known as the hunky trainer on the Lifetime show "DietTribe." He also starred in the movie "Friday Night Lights," and "12 Men of Christmas."

He was recently dominating a poll between him and other fan favorites like Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill.
