'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: E.L. James to Star in Her Own Film; Which Character Is She?

Every "Fifty Shades" fan wants to know who will play all the key characters in the upcoming erotic movie.

However, some of the small characters need to be thought of as well, but bestselling author E.L. James already knows who is playing one of them.

Recently, James appeared on the Katie Couric show to chat about the book and casting.

According to MStarz, she told Couric, "I've actually written myself into the book; I play a very tiny cameo role and I might try and do that if I'm asked to ... we'll see."

She added, "It'd be interesting to know if people can find me in the books. I have three people who could play Christian and I think four who could play Ana, and I'm not going to tell you any of them."

This is not uncommon for the authors to play a part in movies based off their books. Stephanie Meyer was spotted in some scenes in her "Twilight" movies.

Some stars are revealing that they would play the coveted roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

Jake Gyllenhaal recently admitted he would like to play Christian.

Reported by FiftyShadesFilm, the 31-year-old actor called in to "On the Air with Ryan Seacrest" on Tuesday to talk about his new film "End of Watch." Of course, it turned into talk about "Fifty Shades."

The "Love and Other Drugs" actor was told that fans have been throwing his name out there to play Christian Grey, he said, "That's super flattering. I have not heard that, but if that's true that's a nice thing, always nice to be considered."

When asked if he would actually play the role of Christian, Gyllenhaal said, "Of course, I always want to work, of course!"

Huge fan favorite, "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard recently admitted that he would play Christian Grey.

According to TheStir.CafeMom.com, when asked about that possibility by ET Canada, Skarsgard, 36, responded with, "Of course. It's a great script."

He then said there are "so many variables" when it comes to taking the role and added, "It depends on who's directing it and who's in it." This means that Skarsgard is considering taking the part if offered to him.

Emma Watson claimed that she would play the role of Anastasia if "Drive" star Ryan Gosling played the role of Christian Grey.

Ryan Seacrest tweeted, .@EmWatson told me she'd be far more interested in playing Anastasia in 50 Shades of Grey if Ryan Gosling plays Christian. #mugglelove."

According to E! Online, "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev told Seacrest during an interview that Watson was nervous when reading the books.

"She's laughing, a little bit nervously as I'm sure everybody was when they read those books," Dobrev relayed to Seacrest during a phone call On Air on 102.7 KIIS FM. Dobrev costars with Watson in their upcoming movie "Perks of Being a Wallflower."

"She would be far more interested if he were playing Christian Grey," Dobrev continued about Watson's apparent infatuation with Gosling. "I guess that's all it takes."

The "Fifty Shades" trilogy ("Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker," "Fifty Shades Freed") tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM while trying to understand their complicated relationship.
