'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: 'Twilight' Kristen Stewart Wants Anastasia Steele Role? Says She's 'Daring'

Everyone is starting to go after the two popular roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

It's a good thing that some of them are fan favorites for the roles. One actress that spoke on playing Ana Steele is no other than Kristen Stewart.

The "Twilight" actress has always been in the running for Ana Steele, partially since the Ana is based off of Stewart's "Twilight" character Bella Swan (now Bella Cullen).

Stewart, 22, talked to author Talia Soghomonian about the possibility of starring in "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"First of all, they haven't called me or anything, they haven't offered me the part. It's spicy. Yeah. I don't know, I haven't read the whole thing and it's also a highly coveted part everyone is trying to. But I'm pretty daring," Stewart said, according to HollywoodLife.

Stewart was the first to wanting the role of Ana. She was, in fact, the inspiration behind Anastasia.

In May, she said she would be up for the role no matter what type it is.

"But I'm dying to make another movie with Rob," Stewart in an interview with Celebuzz. "I think we're a good team, and whatever it is needs to be so ridiculously ambitious ... but I'd love to work with him again."

Later in May, she read an excerpt on MTV News with host Josh Horrowitz. Hollywood Life said, "She sounds amazing!"

She then admitted that she was reading the book.

What a coincidence that Stewart wants to be Ana Steele, because her "Twilight" boyfriend Robert Pattinson is up for the role of Christian Grey!

Pattinson has always been in the running  for Christian Grey. After all, Christian was inspired by his character in the "Twilight" movies, Edward Cullen, so it's natural that Pattinson would be in the running for the lead role as Christian.

Pattinson recently did an interview and talked "Fifty Shades of Grey," written by bestselling author E.L. James.

When asked if he knew it was based on his character as Edward, he replied, "I think the author has written me out of it. I saw some interview earlier and they went, oh, it could never be him. And I'm like, 'Hey, I'm going to make you pay for that.'"

Is he vying for the role? Is he angry that some think he's not capable to play Christian? Pattinson, 26, has always been a great dodger when it comes to certain questions, not really giving a clear answer.

"It's funny seeing all these other actors so openly like vying for it. I've never seen that happen before. It's so strange," Pattinson said. "I haven't read the whole thing, I read bits of it, there's a book called 50 Sheds of Grey. Have you seen that book? That's amazing, just a picture book of 50 Grey Sheds, and it's literally on the New York Times Best Seller List. People have got the wrong read."

Pattinson revealed that he's always played weird characters (many will argue that vampires aren't weird), so the part of Christian Grey might not be far from weird.

"I mean every part I played is always kind of like sort of weird. But I don't know, I find kind of random things, the movie I'm doing next, is a real guy, an interrogator and he's not particularly weird or anything, he's just like, he's kind of, well he's a little weird," the "Cosmopolis" actor said.

Fans don't mind if they see the "Twilight" characters in another film together.

One Books & Review commenter said, "I think Robert P. would be an excellent choice to play the role of Christian. Something about his mysterious personality in Twilight reminds me of Christian. Controlling, sweet, sensual, and not to mention his looks; square jaw, blue eyes, hair, body. I think he could really get into character and bring Christian to life on screen."

Another commenter said, "Honestly i think Kristen Stewart. She can act, and the paleness." Another fan said, "Kristen & Robert are AMAZING actors! But I don't think they would fit well into this movie, but at the same time; it could expand their movie titles & reputation more well - rounded. Either way it go, I would SOO WATCH IT ! # TeamKristen&Robert!" Another said, "Stick with these two here they both look perfect for their roles as Christian and Ana."

The "Fifty Shades" trilogy ("Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker," "Fifty Shades Freed"), written by E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM while trying to understand their complicated relationship.
