'Beautiful Creatures' Movie Trailer 2013: How Book Series Could Be Next 'Twilight' Phenomenon, Alice Englert the Next Kristen Stewart?

There is one book series on the market that everyone is talking about that could be the next "Twilight."

"Beautiful Creatures" is the first book in the "Caster Chronicles" series. It is written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. It was published on Sept. 14, 2010 by Little Brown, Company.

The 563-page book is described:

There were no surprises in Gatlin County.
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.

At least, that's what I thought.
Turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong.
There was a curse.
There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave.

Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

"Beautiful Creatures" is similar to "Twilight" with Bella and Edward because there is a love story that centers around a human and someone with supernatural powers. Everyone (even if you don't like "Twilight") knows that Bella is the fragile human and Edward is the super strong vampire who's overprotective of her.

"Beautiful Creatures" is similar, except that Ethan is the fragile human and Lena is a witch, or "caster."

In the "Caster Chronicles" series are "Beautiful Creatures," "Beautiful Darkness," and "Beautiful Chaos." GoodReads features "Dream Dark," which is called #2.5.

Like Stephanie Meyer's novels, "Beautiful Creatures" is getting adapted into a film.

Some media outlets are already saying that star Alice Englert, who plays Lena, could be the next Kristen Stewart (who plays Bella).

"Alice Englert could also be set to become the next Kristen Stewart. Just like K-Stew, whose mother recently directed her first movie, Alice also has a big Hollywood connection through her mom-her mother is The Piano director Jane Campion. So maybe growing up around the movie industry will help her career take off, too," GatherEntertainment wrote. "But of course it will be up to teen romance fans to decide whether Alice becomes just as big as K-Stew."

Other stars in the film are Alden Ehrenreich (Ethan Wate), Emma Rossum (Ridley Duchannes), Jeremy Irons (Macon Ravenwood), and Emma Thompson (Mrs. Lincoln). The film is directed by Richard LaGravenese.

"Beautiful Creatures" will release in theaters Feb. 13, 2013.
