Amanda Knox Book Will Unveil 'Full and Unflinching' Details of Murder Trial, Memoir Release Date April 2013

Amanda Knox's memoir finally has a release date, title, and cover after being cleared of murder more than a year ago.

Published by HarperCollins, "Waiting to be Heard" will be released on April 30, 2013. The cover has a dark theme to it with Knox's unsettling, serious face expression.

The memoir had an original release date of February, but it got pushed back because Knox is due in court on March 25 because Italian prosecutors, who are appealing Knox's release from prison and want her murder conviction reinstated, according to ABC News.

ABC News explains Knox's ordeal:

"Knox, now 25, was convicted in December 2009 for the 2007 murder of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, in the Italian city of Perugia. Knox's Italian boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, was also convicted.

The pair was freed from prison four years later, when an Italian appeals court threw out the guilty verdict and criticized the prosecution's case."

Fox.com reported that the Italian court ruled out the DNA evidence used at trail was unreliable and cleared Knox of murder charges in October 2011.

According to reports, Knox is receiving a $4 million advance for writing the memoir.

HarperCollins said that the book would focus on Knox's arrest and trial and will give a "full and unflinching" account of the events, according to Sky.com.

Knox's former Italian boyfriend, Sollecito, recently released a memoir "Honour Bound: My Journey to Hell and Back With Amanda Knox" on Sept. 18, 2012.

Sky.com points out that in his memoir, Sollecito "acknowledged the couple's behaviour after the murder of Miss Kercher, a 21-year-old Leeds University student from Coulsdon, Surrey, may have led police to believe they were responsible."
