If you're mother is a book worm, you may want to consider taking a look at some of Barnes & Noble's recently announced Mother's Day offers.

This online retailer is offering a flat 40 percent discount on hardcover bestsellers in store, a 30 percent discount of selected items for mothers and a 50 percent discount on a select list of DVD and Blu-ray titles.

Moreover, the company's NOOK GlowLight will be available for a discounted price of $99 till May 11, 2014. There is also a 20 percent discount on NOOK GlowLight Clip On Covers. First-time customers can also avail a $5 credit to spend on digital books, apps, movies, TV shows, newspapers or magazines.

Books and devices are not the only options Barnes & Noble offers its customers.

Barnes & Noble is offering 20 percent off any Godiva gifting chocolates priced at $30 or more," the company announced in a press statement. And who can resist cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory Bakery The Dream Factory desserts? The Barnes & Noble Café's assortment of cheesecakes includes Original, Red Velvet, Orange Dreamsicle, Hershey's Chocolate and other exceptional flavors."

The company also encourages customers to become a member to avail more discounts. Membership comes at an annual fee of $25.  

Amazon has announced a $20 discount on its Kindle Fire HD. Customers can now purchase the device for only $179 at any store or from their online shopping website. To avail this discount online, customers will have to use the coupon code FIRE4MOM. The discount is however not applicable on Amazon's Kindle Fire HD 8.9.
