New Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina Book Investigates on Family's ‘Complicated Dynamics’

The drama continues for the late singer Whitney Houston and her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. In the upcoming book, titled "Whitney and Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame," investigative journalist Ian Halperin exposes the "complicated dynamics" of the star's family based on revelations of various sources close to the singer and her daughter which include family members and close friends, reports Entertainment Weekly.

According to Gallery Books, the new book will focus on the singer's career from her rise to fame until her death in 2012. The book will also shed some light about the mystery that surrounds Bobbi Kristina's condition and the days that led to the night she was found unconscious in her bathtub.

Houston's career, which spanned for more than 20 years, had been plagued with the singer's drug addiction. In 2012, just days before she was expected to attend the Grammy Awards, Houston was found dead in her suite in the Beverly Hills Hotel due to cocaine overdose. Houston was 48 years old.

Subsequently, almost three years after her death, her daughter with rapper Bobby Brown, 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a bathtub. Bobbi Kristina's current condition still remains under wraps after her family requested for privacy. However, the family has been adamant that Bobbi Kristina's life support has not been removed - contrary to previous rumors.

The book's timing could not get any more perfect. Just recently, reports about Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, reveals his potential contribution to her current state. According to Celebdirtylaundry, Gordon was seen shouting and fighting with Bobbi Kristina hours before her drowning incident. Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, was also rumored to be getting a lot of pressure from the Houston matriarchs to let his daughter off of life support. In the event that she dies, there is a possibility that Gordon will face murder charges.

Meanwhile, Halperin is not new to investigating on the lives of high-profile celebrities. In 2009, he published "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson." The book went on to become a New York Times bestseller. He has also written biographies of other stars including Celine Dion and James Taylor.

So much have already been said and written about Houston's life and her family. With the upcoming release of "Whitney and Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Rise to fame," fans can celebrate the singer's legacy once more. The book is set for its release on June 9.
