Gisele Bundchen Book Sold Out Before Release!

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen has as much success in the publishing world as she does in the world of fashion and runways. According to People, the 35-year-old philanthropist and mother of two was surprised to find out that her new book, "Gisele", sold out a day before it even debuted in bookshelves worldwide.

In an Instagram post by book curator and art director Giovanni Bianco on Thursday, he confirmed that both the limited edition and art edition of "Gisele" has sold out worldwide. This is one day before the book's scheduled international release on November 6.

Bianco also announced that a special Portuguese trade edition of "Gisele" would be released in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Friday. This event would be marked by a public appearance of Bündchen herself.

"Gisele" is a limited edition hardcover book that chronicles the two-decade high profile modelling career of Bündchen, starting when she was only 14 years old. It is a hefty tome - with 536 pages and more than 300 photos of Bündchen by 74 photographers. Many of the images are iconic and never-before-seen photos of the supermodel.

The book also includes tributes and images by Bündchen's family and close friends, as well as by colleagues and experts in the fashion industry. One thousand copies of the book have been printed, and all bear Bündchen's signature. "Gisele" was published by Taschen Books, which specialize in publishing books on art and anthropology.

Early on Thursday, Bündchen posted a teaser video about the book on her Instagram account. Despite its bulk and the shocking price tag of $700, the book sold out even before the holidays. Bündchen and her publisher were preparing for a holiday promotion for the book when it sold out.

Proceeds from the sale of "Gisele" would go to charity. It has been speculated that the book sold out quickly because of the included nude photos of Bündchen, particularly her legendary nude portrait by top photographer, Irving Penn.

According to Boston.com, Bündchen exclaims in an interview with M2M, a fashion network that airs exclusively on AppleTV, how it has been a "pretty fun ride" for the last 20 years.

She "got to take some pictures, meet pretty interesting people, and travel the world, and just experience different things in life". She talked about catching her big break in Alexander McQueen's Rain Show in 1998.

Bündchen also expressed how grateful she is for having been blessed with a successful career in modelling since the age of 14.
