Kate Hudson Book 2015: Star Set to Publish Health and Wellness Book

Actress Kate Hudson, who starred in immensely popular films such as "Almost Famous" and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days", is set to publish a new book on health wellness this February 2016.

With the title "Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body", Dey Street Books announced in a press release that Hudson will "offer health and wellness inspiration and motivation for women, addressing fitness, nutrition and a mindful lifestyle. Long admired for her beauty and dedication to healthy living, Hudson has always exuded authenticity and a passion for life."

Apart from acting, Hudson displayed her commitment to a healthy lifestyle by founding Fabletics in 2013. Fabletics is a subsidiary of online fashion retailer JustFab, and its product line include women's sportswear and accessories.

In the same press release, Lynn Grady, the publisher of Dey Street Books says that he is happy to be working with Hudson. She says, "Everyone at Dey Street Books is thrilled to be working with Kate Hudson on her latest endeavour. Her commitment to health, happiness, and an active lifestyle is evident in everything she does and it's now time to get her message-and the ideals she lives by-out to the largest possible audience."

Carrie Thornton, Editorial Director of Dey Street Books, also echoes the same sentiments. She states, "Kate Hudson just glows, and her passionate, warm personality makes her an ideal author for a book on health and wellness for women. I am so happy to have the chance to work with her."

U.K. and Commonwealth rights excluding Canada were acquired by HarperNonFiction. HarperNonFiction Editorial Director Carolyn Thorne says, "We're incredibly excited to be publishing Kate Hudson in the UK and beyond. Her refreshing attitude towards health and wellness will inspire women of all ages to love their bodies, and we can't wait to bring it to market."

According to The Bookseller, the publishers acquired the English language rights from Cait Hoyt at Creative Artists Agency. The deal was then settled between Carrie Thornton of Dey Street Books, Creative Artists Agency and law firm Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris.

As for Hudson, she says that the book is not meant to be instructional. She hopes that the book will be inspirational and motivational for those who want to make a change in their lifestyle, and that it will help individuals find what works for them best.

She says, "I'm not a fan of perfectionism. I think it's all about finding the balance between enjoying your life and being as mindful as possible when it comes to your overall well-being. Trends and fads come and go and are not a long-term solution."

Hudson's breakthrough role was in the 2000 comedy-drama film "Almost Famous", where she played the character of Penny Lane. She has since starred in numerous other films such as "How to Lost a Guy in Ten Days", "Raising Helen", "Bride Wars", and "Nine." More recently, Hudson lends her voice to Mei Mei in the upcoming "Kung Fu Panda 3".
