Recently, Pine set the record straight with Jay Leno on his visit to the Tonight Show about the steamy novel.
According to Gather Entertainment, the "Fifty Shades" upcoming movie was first proposed to him as he was working the red carpet for an upcoming animated movie. He seemed intrigued and responded with a "yeah sure," regarding the possibility of starring. Also, he remarked that every woman in his life was reading the trilogy.
However, he confessed on the Tonight Show that he was "not doing it." Though, according to Policy Mic, the 31-year-old actor hinted that he may very well be considering the role, because he went on to say that he would go nude in a film "if it was pivotal for the art. I'd get my acting coach and we'd work it out."
Guzman also hinted that he would like to play the sexy Christian Grey, whom every woman wants.
In an exclusive interview with The Daily Fig, the 25-year-old actor said that he would choose to play Christian Grey if he could play any character from a book.
"I know it's a little risqué, but I'm starting to get into Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm going to start reading that one next because I'm kinda thinking I might like to go out for this Christian Grey role," Guzman revealed.
"People wanna see this movie be made so I definitely want to attach my name to it if I can."
Guzman plays Sean in the highly anticipated movie "Step Up Revolution," and releases July 27.
Colin Egglesfield recently said that he could play the role of Christian. "Dancing with the Stars" William Levy recently said he has already read the book, and that "all guys should be like that." "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles was put on the "Christian Grey train" of actors to play the essential role.
Other stars that are rumored to play the two roles are "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder, "Immortals" star Henry Cavill, "White Collar" star Matt Bomer, "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles, and "Drive" star Ryan Gosling. Some fans also said they wanted "The Dark Knight Rises" star Christian Bale to be Grey. Recently, at the HBO panel at Comic-Con San Diego, "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard said that hasn't been offered a casting part to play Christian Grey, nor has he read the book or seen a script.
"Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum revealed that he would like to be Christian, but only if his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, were going to be Anastasia.
