Christian Grey is one of the most talked about book characters amongst many female readers of "Fifty Shades of Grey." But fans also want to know who will play his sexy co-star, Anastasia Steele.

"Fifty Shades of Grey," written by bestselling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM (bondage, dominance, submission, masochism).

People Magazine described Ana as "'a pale, brown-haired girl with blue eyes too big for her face.' She's clumsy and awkward but very beautiful - though she clearly doesn't see that herself. Of course, Christian does, and he's not shy about complimenting her 'beautiful skin, pale and flawless.'" She also has a slim figure, which he's not shy about appreciating.

Anastasia is a 21-year-old recent college graduate. She's innocent and unsuspecting about Christian's intentions, but she quickly opens her mind to the unusual sexual tastes of Christian, who is loves the world of S&M, where he is the dominator.

Recent reports said that Watson is in talks with producers for the role of Anastasia, but this has not been confirmed. In the past few weeks, the actress has gained a lot of momentum to play the crucial role in the upcoming film.

According to People Magazine, Watson, 22, is said to be an "obvious choice" to play Ana. She has played the awkward, doesn't-know-she's-gorgeous role before.

Celebs.gather.com said "Emma Watson is perfect for the role." She has a persona of a naïve virgin.

"Emma, like Anastasia, is, despite her youth, at a crossroads in her life. Steele is a clueless virgin "ushered into a strange world of sex when she meets Christian Grey, [who] beyond just yielding control of her body to this man...is also a woman navigating a crisis of identity." 2. "Gilmore Girls" Alexis Bledel, 30

Some say Bledel might be too old for the part, but many think she is perfect for the role.

FansShare describe Bledel with "seductive blue eyes and a stance that binds awkward charm and sex appeal."

"The way Alexis enunciates and expresses herself is also not far from the way intelligent literature graduate Anastasia carries regular conversations."

Movie Pilot describes Bledel as a "spot on" resemblance to Anastasia, who has big blue eyes. "Not only is Bledel cute as pie, but she has Ana's sweet and innocent look down pat," Movie Pilot said. "She looks like she can blush and chew her bottom lip with the best of them at the sight of sexy Christian, so we don't care that she's actually 30 years old (if you can believe it). She's our girl!"

3. "Game of Thrones" Emilia Clarke, 25

Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryan in "Game of Thrones" recently became competition for Watson.

4. "Pretty Little Liars" Lucy Hale, 23

The actress has read the "Fifty Shades" books, and she also hinted that she would be up for a role like Anastasia.
"I definitely am ready to take a step and do something a bit more risky, absolutely, but it's a fine line," she told MTV News. "I don't know what that fine line is, but I'm definitely ready to explore a darker side of my acting abilities."
Books & Review fans also agreed she could play Anastasia. One commenter said, "I could definitely see Lucy as Ana. She has to be young, naive, demure. I see it definitely."

5. "Mirror, Mirror" Lily Collins, 23
Known for her role as Snow White in "Mirror, Mirror, Collins is a fan favorite to play Anastasia. She also starred in "Abduction" with Taylor Lautner.
 MTV News reported: "Lily Collins is one who I don't think has been mentioned too much" Mags Vazquez from Latersbaby.net said. "I look at the innocent part, she can probably pull that off really well, and she has the features that would go well."
Some fans also see Collins to play the role of Mia.

6. "Easy A" Emma Stone, 23

People Magazine described Stone perfect for Ana: "With a quick dye job to darken her red locks. Stone feels like an obvious choice to play Ana. She's played the awkward, doesn't-know-she's-gorgeous role before (opposite Ryan Gosling, no less!) and we can totally imagine her falling under Christian's spell." Fans also agree. One commenter said, "I would love to see Emma Stone as Ana."

7. "Desperate Housewives" Lyndsy Fonseca
This actress is also known for the movie "Kick-Ass" and "The Young and the Restless." Fonseca is popular among "Fifty Shades" fans. One commenter said, "Ana Steele should be played by LYNDSY FONSECA!!!"

8. "In Time," "Gone" Amanda Seyfried, 26
Seyfried has been newly added to the list and has gained traction. She is mention on the IBTimes "The Dream Cast," where the website said, "Amanda Seyfried's green doe eyes, emitting innocence and sensuality, may make her the perfect fit as Anastasia Steele."
 People Magazine also said Seyfriend would be good to play Anastasia.
"Another trip to the salon would be necessarily to capture Ana's long, dark hair, but Seyfried's got a captivating quality about her that's perfect for the role. Like Stone and Woodley, she's also got experience starring opposite the criminally attractive (exhibit A: Justin Timberlake in In Time) and has proven herself as one of the top young stars to watch in Tinseltown."

9. "Sucker Punch" Emily Browning, 23
Known for her role as Babydoll in "Sucker Punch," this actress has made it on the Anastasia List. On the IBTimes Dream Cast list, the website said, "Emily Browning might be the least known of the actresses, but in her role in "Suckerpunch" she uses her seductive dances to swoon workers at a mental facility, she would definitely be believable as the angelic Anastasia that entices Christian Grey." Some fans also mentioned Browning as their top choice for Anastasia.

10. "Supernatural," Gossip Girl" Katie Cassidy, 25

Cassidy, who also starred in "Melrose Place," was picked by Astrochicks to play the role of Anastasia. Although she is on this list, most fans see her as playing the role of feisty Kate Kavanagh.

FansShare describes Kate as, "Ana's best friend and room mate, and the reason behind Ana's initial meeting with sexy billionaire Christian Grey" and a "wealthy blonde."

The website suggested Katie Cassidy: "not only does she share the same name as the character, but we think she is just feisty enough to play the gorgeous part."

Other stars that didn't make it on the list but fans have mentioned are "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev, 23, and "The Worst Witch" actress Felicity Jones, 28.
