'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting Rumors: Who Will Play Elena (Mrs. Robinson)? Charlize Theron, Michelle Phieffer, Kim Cattrall (POLL)
Fans are dying to know who will play their favorite characters in the hotly anticipated film adaption of "Fifty Shades of Grey."
Most of the time, polls and fans have been focusing on the key characters, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.
The erotic novel, written by bestelling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, through an "agreement," and both explore the world of BDSM (bondage, dominance, submission, masochism).

Talk recently surfaced of who will play Elena, a.k.a Mrs. Robinson, after "Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall, who was (and still is) hotly favored to play Elena, addressed the rumors and denied being up for the role.
"No one has told me about that, but I thoroughly enjoyed the book," she is quoted as saying in The Sun.
She previously admitted, ""Most of my life hasn't been very fulfilling sexually. At one point in my mid-thirties I thought maybe I'm just not a very sexual woman.
This sparked active debate between Books & Review commenters. To put the debate to rest, we decided to do a poll!
According to "Fifty Shades of Grey" Wiki, Elena (whom Anastasia semi-jokingly dubs Mrs. Robinson) [SPOILER ALERT!!] was one of Christian's mother's close married older friends, and coaxed him into an affair with her.
Elena was Christian's first sexual experience and, according to him, introduced him to the world of BDSM by making him her submissive, which sparked teenage arousal in him. The affair lasted until he was twenty-one when her husband found out, and although they are no longer sexual, they still remain close friends (until "Fifty Shades Freed").
