'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting News: 'Step Up Revolution' Ryan Guzman Wants Role of Christian Grey

Every "Fifty Shades of Grey" fan wants to know who will be Christian Grey, and some stars let the world know that they wouldn't mind doing it.

"Step Up Revolution" star Ryan Guzman recently admitted that he wanted the steamy role of Christian.

"Yeah, for sure. Let's do it," Guzman told Celebuzz's Hollywood Studio. The 25-year-old actor talked "Fifty Shades" along with "Step Up" co-star Kathryn McCormick.

What did McCormick say in response to being Anastasia Steele?

"I think I would have to let him have his own journey with that," she said.

"Fifty Shades of Grey," written by bestselling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM (bondage, dominance, submission, masochism).

Guzman hinted at playing the coveted role in July. In an exclusive interview with The Daily Fig, he said that he would choose to play Christian Grey if he could play any character from a book.

"I know it's a little risqué, but I'm starting to get into Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm going to start reading that one next because I'm kinda thinking I might like to go out for this Christian Grey role," Guzman revealed.

"People wanna see this movie be made so I definitely want to attach my name to it if I can."

Other stars have also hinted to want the role of the two key characters in the hotly anticipated movie.

Jessie Pavelka was the most recent star who revealed that he would like the role.

"Thanks for all the support! I would definitely be interested in the role of Christian Grey. At the moment my attention/focus is on AYTSML," he wrote on his Twitter page.

It is even said that Angelina Jolie wants the role of Anastasia. Sources on the set of her upcoming movie "Maleficent" said that she's been reading the book and wants the role.

''Ange is dead-set on a major part. She's up for the challenge," the insider said according to the National Ledger.

"Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale, 23, said that any involvement with the film would take her career in a different direction, and she's comfortable with that type of diversion.

"I don't know what that fine line is, but I'm definitely ready to explore a darker side of my acting abilities."

"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder, 33, seems to be the most popular among fans to play Christian Grey. He held a sort of Twitter campaign in July, making it clear that he's more than qualified for the role.

Actor Colin Egglesfield, 39, is now said to be in the running for the Christian, and recently revealed to Access Hollywood that he could play the part, and that the book is on his reading list.

"Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum, 32, revealed that he would like to be 27-year-old sexy billionaire Christian Grey but only if his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, were going to be Anastasia.

"Dancing with the Stars" 2012 competitor William Levy, 31, said he likes the book.

"I like the book, actually," he told Extra's Mario Lopez. "I think all guys should be like that."

U.K. reality television star Mark Wright, 25, said in an interview with the Daily Star that he would love to play the role of Christian Grey and that it would help him conquer Hollywood.

"I'd love to play Christian; that would be such a great part for me."
