Galaxy Note 2 Release Date, Specs: Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint U.S. Carrier Details, Strong Demand for Samsung Lowers Price

Samsung is getting ready to unveil its Galaxy Note 2.

Oct. 24 is the golden date when Samsung will announce the availability of the Note 2 in the U.S.

Carrier Details

Sprint recently announced in a press release that it will offer its version of the Galaxy Note 2 starting Oct. 25, according to Phandroid. The smartphone will cost $299. It will come in either Marble White or Titanium Grey, and will be a SAFE (Samsung for Enterprise) device, "providing the ability to securely sync corporate email, calendars, contacts and sensitive information."

U.S. Cellular is already taking pre-orders for $299.99.

For AT&T, the carrier issued a press release on Oct. 1 confirming that it will offer the highly anticipated "phablet" hybrid and that it will be available in the very near future, according to ChristianPost.

"Arriving later this year running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), Galaxy Note 2 with 4G LTE combines the productivity of a tablet with the convenience of a smartphone and the S Pen features you need to unleash your creativity," wrote AT&T.

However, they did not provide a release date.

T-Mobile has finally announced details about Samsung's Galaxy Note 2.

According to the press release, the Galaxy Note 2 will be available in the coming weeks. It will come in Titanium Gray and Marble White color options.

"The Samsung Galaxy Note II is the latest innovative device to join T-Mobile's portfolio. It takes the all-in-one device concept to the next level and we anticipate it will replace many standalone devices consumers have today," said Brad Duea, senior vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA. "When combined with our Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan, the Galaxy Note II is a true powerhouse device with exclusive features, amazing 4G experiences and superior value that only T-Mobile can deliver."

The Galaxy Note 2 with T-Mobile is similar to other specs for other U.S. Carriers, however, it includes an entertainment feature.

T-Mobile included a preloaded new racing game on the device, which will include all three free levels.

In new reports, the T-Mobile version may hit stores on Nov. 15.

According to EasternMorningHerald, "The press image for the T-Mobile Note 2 shows the device with the date 'November 15' and a time of '12:45 PM,' so it's possible that would be when the Galaxy Note 2 will drop at T-Mobile stores nationwide."

PopHerald reported that T-Mobile is the only U.S. carrier that will offer the highly anticipated smartphone without the faster and more reliable LTE (Long Term Evolution). It is expected to ship with 3G HSPA+ only.

In terms of Verizon, PopHerald reported that the carrier is supposed to unveil their Galaxy Note 2 mode, the CDMA Galaxy Note 2, on Oct. 24.

Specs and Price

Samsung's "phablet" will feature a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and a rear 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and front 1.9 megapixel CT camera. It has a 1.6 Ghz quad-core processor and 4G LTE data speeds. It is also expected to have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed and come with the S Pen experience and comes with up to 64GB of memory with 2GB RAM and a microSD slow up to 64GB.

The Galaxy Note 2 was priced at $750, however, only after a week the unlocked international variant is now a cheaper price because of "overwhelming demand, stable supply and growing competition," according to PopHerald.

"According to sources from third-party online stores, the cheapest Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is currently sporting the tag price of $695 United States dollars or $50 cheaper compared to its October week 1 suggested retail price. For the upcoming 32GB variant, sources from the retail chain said the high-end model will sport the $750 asking price on its launch date," the website reported.
