'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting News: 'Twilight' Dakota Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen Hint at Ana Steele Role, But Mila Kunis Might Dominate

Many stars are speaking up about the two lead roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

The latest is "Twilight" star Dakota Fanning. She plays Jane in all the vampire films.

According to FansShare, when asked about the possibility of playing Ana Steele, the 19-year-old actress said, "I never say never to anything but I don't know. I have read the books."

And that is a good thing for Fanning fans.

Her "Very Good Girls" costar Elizabeth Olsen also spoke on playing the crucial role, saying, "Sure. If the script is any good."

Have no fear Olsen. Universal Pictures just picked a screenwriter, Kelly Marcel, to pull of the daunting task of making a porn-like book into a R-Rated or even PG-13 film.

About these two possible actresses as Ana, GatherEntertainment said the two "worked together on the movie Very Good Girls, which is about two friends who vow to lose their virginity during the summer after they graduate from high school. So they do have experience working on a film about sex."

They have a lot of competition though.

A part from well-known fan favorites like Alexis Bledel, Lucy Hale, Emilia Clarke, and Alexandra Daddario, another woman has taken over, well, for now.

"Sexist Woman Alive" Mila Kunis recently made headlines as a possible candidate for Ana Steele.

According to the Examiner, the "Ted" actress' topless cover photo shoot has been called "striking," "and as several celebrity sites have recently noted-including The Stir and Entertainmentwise this week-that sex appeal may be just what producers are looking for in their eventual casting of Ana in the upcoming 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film."

Examiner also reported that TheStir described Kunis as up to the task:

"They describe her as perfectly capable in past roles of "biting her lips ... and driving Christian Grey wild" as only Ana knows how to do best, and it is true that Kunis has a lot of experience in many different movie roles, though comedy may be her best known.

'I can't imagine anyone could pull of the [Anastasia Steele casting] role better,' they add."

Is Kunis a good contender for Ana Steele? Would she be too sexy for the virginal role? Whoever plays her has to be brunette and innocent-looking with eyes to big for her face. She has to have an awkward sex appeal which Christian Grey loves about her.

"With her luscious lips, big eyes, and brunette hair, natural beauty Mila definitely looks like Anastasia Steele," Gather Entertainment wrote. "The actress has also proved that she would have no problem with some of the funnier moments in the 50 Shades of Grey movie since she has so much experience working on rated R comedies like Ted and Friends with Benefits. Mila is actually probably best known for starring in funny movies, but she showed off her serious, dark, and sensual side by seducing Natalie Portman in the movie Black Swan."

Back in August, Hollywood.com listed six beautiful actresses that resemble a sketch of Ana Steele, which the 29-year-old bombshell was a part of. Also listed with her was "Game of Thrones" Emilia Clarke, supermodel Lara Stone, "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester, pop singer Selena Gomez, and "Transformers" star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The "Fifty Shades" trilogy ("Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker," "Fifty Shades Freed"), written by E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM while trying to understand their complicated relationship.
