Nokia Lumia 920 Price Revealed, $50 Cheaper Than iPhone 5, Already Sold Out With Best Buy With Close AT&T Release Date?

No doubt Nokia fans were thrilled to see the Lumia 920 on sale for Best Buy on Sunday. However, Monday morning, the flagship phone was nowhere to be seen.

Best Buy began accepting pre-orders for the highly anticipated Windows 8 phone on Sunday, however the phone had been taken down from the website.

According to BusinessInsider, two reasons could be why Best Buy took the Lumia 920 off their website. One is that Nokia and AT&T have yet to formally announce price and a release date for the Lumia 920 and that Best Buy jumped the gun. The other reason is that Best Buy already sold out.

The Lumia 920 was selling for $149.99 with a two-year contract with AT&T. This is good news, as some Apple users want to switch to the new Nokia smartphone. It would be $50 cheaper than the iPhone 5.

Best Buy was selling the Lumia 920 in Black, Cyan, Yellow, White, and Red. The website is still selling the HTC Windows Phone 8X on their website with 8GB for AT&T. It has a $99.99 price tag for a two-year contract and says it will ship when available. It only comes in Purple for now.

The latest rumor for the release date of the Lumia 920 with AT&T seems to point to Nov. 4. Previous reports said that the Nokia flagship phone would be available for pre-order in the U.S. on Oct. 21, which was true because they started Sunday, Oct. 21.

It looks like everyone will just have to wait for Microsoft to unveil the latest details on the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 at an Oct. 29 event in California when the company will announce the final version of Windows Phone 8.

The Lumia 920 runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8. It takes many of the physical design elements from previous generations of Lumia handsets, but improves on internal hardware and display technology. Some of the new tech specs include PureMotion HD+ 4.5 inch display (1280 x 768 resolution), Dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, NFC chip, 2,000mAh battery, and Qi wireless charging. Nokia is touting the Lumia 920′s premier feature as its new camera lens, the Carl Zeiss lens. It has rounded edges and colorful covers with a PureView camera.
