HTC Windows Phone 8X Release Date, Verizon to Reveal Wireless Charging Feature; With Phone 8S Specs, Could Top Nokia Lumia 920

Windows Phone 8 is becoming the next big thing in the mobile industry, and one smartphone that users are curious about is the HTC Windows Phone 8X.

The HTC Phone 8X features a Qualcomm S4 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor with 16GB storage and 1GB RAM. It has a 4.3-inch super LCD 2 touch screen with 1280 x 720 resolution with HD 720p resolution Gorilla Glass 2. It has an 8-megapixel camera with a dedicated HTC ImageChip and a 1800 mAh battery. It also comes with Beats Audio built-in. It comes in various colorful designs.

According to TechRadar, the new Windows phone will be available with three big U.S. carriers.

For T-Mobile, the Phone 8X will hit shelves Nov. 14. It will cost $199 after a $50 mail-in-rebate.

As for Verizon, the carrier also plans to carry the 8X for $199 on a two-year contract by Thanksgiving. The phone will come in blue, red, and black.

According to TechnoBloom, the HTC Windows Phone 8X may hit shelves on Nov. 12.

"This information came from our sources that got their hands on a very confidential Minimum Advertized Price (MAP) list of the wireless provider. In fact, the November 12 release date of the HTC Windows Phone 8X could very well turn out to be spot on because this coincides with a previous tip given to us that the wireless provider is already training its employees about the Windows Phone 8 devices that it is expected to launch," TechnoBloom said.

Also for Verizon, a report said that the 8X will get wireless charging.

Accoring to Tapscape, The Verge reported, "Verizon may have missed out on Nokia's Lumia 920 handset to AT&T, but the carrier will offer wireless charging in HTC's Windows Phone 8X this fall. Sources with knowledge of Verizon's Windows Phone plans have revealed that the carrier will offer the support as a variant that will likely be exclusive in the US. We're told that the Verizon 8X will not be any thicker due to the wireless charging addition, and that it will be built straight into the handset."

Verizon is expected to make the announcement about the new feature in coming weeks.

AT&T will also carry the Phone 8X but hasn't announced a release date.

Best Buy is selling the HTC Windows Phone 8X on their website with 8GB for AT&T. It has a $99.99 price tag for a two-year contract and says it will ship when available. It only comes in Purple for now.

AT&T described the 8X saying "Bring on the bling" on its website.

According to HTC's website, tech webpage Engadget said, "The 8X immediately grabs your attention. In fact, it practically begs to be looked at, and that's to HTC's credit."

HTC also will release the HTC Windows Phone 8S.

The 8S has a Qualcomm S4 1Ghz dual-core processor with 5MP, 720p autoflash camera. It features a 4-inch super LCD touch screen with WVGA resolution Gorrilla Glass. It has 512MB of RAM with Beats Audio built in and 1,700mAh battery.  It will come in colors blue, black, red, and grey.

Tech website BGR said, "HTC's Windows Phone 8X and 8S take the Windows Phone lead."

We will definitely see if that happens with HTC's Windows 8 smartphones. Will you buy one this holiday season? Sound off below!
