Comic-Con 2015: Program Schedule, Panels, Guests & What to Expect in San Diego Event

The much-awaited convention in San Diego is coming this July. More than 100,000 attendees are now looking forward to the San Diego Comic-Con International 2015 to be held from July 9 to 12. Comi-Con International is, as Forbes describes it, "the largest convention of its kind in the world."

The four-day event in San Diego Convention Center will showcase a comprehensive lineup of entertainment panels from different genres. Mostly, the convention highlight comic books, animation series, science fiction and fantasy films, television series and games.

Each day of the convention will be jam-packed with screenings, panels and discussions to keep the attendees entertained. The Preview Night, which is the night before Day 1, falls on July 8, Wednesday.

Here are the program schedule, released on the Comic-Con International website, with some of the interesting panels to look forward to:

July 8 - Preview Night

Creating Superheroes in Classroom, 5 pm  A hands-on workshop for K-12 teachers, who are interested in using comic books as educational materials in classrooms.

Sneak Peek Pilot Screenings, 6 pm – Special sneak peek screenings of the pilot episodes of this year's much-awaited TV series will be held. This part of the program has become a Preview Night tradition of Comic-Con and Warner Bros. TV. The available screenings include Supergirl, Blindspot, Containment, Lucifer and Teen Titans Go!

July 9 - Thursday

Workshops and Discussions

The day will be filled with knowledge and experiences from experts including events like "Comic-Con How-To: Show Your Story, Don't Tell It!," where "EverQuest Next" author, Maxwell Alexander Drake, shares insights on how to create a page-turner story. In "From Fan to Creator: Making the Dream a Reality," attendees will learn how to write their first novel, draw their own comic or create their first film firsthand from Douglas Neff.

Also on this day, William Shatner himself will be reading excerpts from "The Autobiography of James T. Kirk," a memoir that features the life of Kirk during his youth, time at Starfleet Academy and career.

July 10 - Friday

Attendees will be treated with the world premier of "Justice League: God & Monsters" with a bonus encore screening following it. Other movie panels include "Kung Fury" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

TV series panels include "The 100," Cartoon Network's "Adventure Time" and "Steven Universe," CBS hit comedy series "The Big Bang Theory," Cartoon Network's "Clarence and Friends Pajama Party," the highly anticipated "Fear the Walking Dead," the crowd favorite "Game of Thrones" and Cartoon Network's "Regular Show" and "Uncle Grandpa."

July 11 - Saturday

TV series panels will feature "Family Guy" with Seth MacFarlane, "Grimm," the recently canceled "Hannibal," "The Muppets," "The Simpsons" and "SpongeBob SquarePants."

Stephen Walker, Cort Lane and Eric Radomski from Marvel Animation Studios will give a sneak peek on the new seasons of "Marvel's Avengers: Ultron Revolution" and "Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6," plus a never-before-seen video from "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy."

#LoveWins at Comic-Con 2015 with "Gays in Comics 28: At the Intersection of Comics and Life," where creators share how their queer identities affect aspects of their life, as well as the landscape and dynamics of their work.

There will also be a voice acting workshop with voice actor Wally Wingert.

July 12 - Sunday

In the last day of the convention, movie panels are extra special with "Batman Unlimited" and "LEGO DC Super Heroes Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom." TV Series involving supernatural phenomenon such as "American Horror Story," "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries" will also fill the schedule.

Moreover, Potterheads get their annual special treat with "Fantastic Fans and Where to Find Them: Wizarding World and Potterverse Fandom Panel."

Special Guests

This year's convention has a unique list of special guests, who are well-known artists in different industries. Some of the special names in the list are David Aja, creator of "Hawkeye" and "Immortal Iron Fist;" Allie Brosh, writer of #1 New York Times best-seller, "Hyperbole and a Half;" and Mark Evanier, author of "Kirby: King of Comics."
