Paper Towns' Movie Out Next Week! Trailer, Cast & Everything to Expect in Adaptation of John Green's Book

After the enormous success of "The Fault in Our Stars" as reported by CinemaBlend, the upcoming film adaptation of another John Green book, entitled "Paper Towns", has been highly anticipated.

The novel "Paper Towns" tells the story Quentin Jacobsen, a young man in love with a girl who loves mysteries. An all-nighter of mystery and adventure changes everything.

The book landed #5 on the New York Times bestseller list and won an Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Mystery in 2009.

Here's everything you need to know before the film hits the big screen on July 24.

Meet the characters.

Quentin Jacobsen

Quentin, also known as "Q," is the lead character. He has been admiring his neighbor Margo, who lives next door. In the book, Q said, "My miracle was this: out of all the houses in all the subdivisions in all of Florida, I ended up living next door to Margo Roth Spiegelman."

Nat Wolff is portraying the character. In an interview with Teen Vogue, Wolff shares his experience in filming "Paper Towns."

"It was great being involved in the casting process, which, honestly, I hated it in the beginning because I hate auditioning. I know how awful it is for actors. Cara [Delevingne] came in, and I was the only person in the entire world who hadn't heard of her. And then she blew me away. She's the only one who made me feel nervous, because she's such a spontaneous actress."

Margo Roth Spiegelman

As the story was told in Q's perspective, Margo is described as his idea of a perfect high school girl. A famous quote from the book reads, "Margo always loved mysteries...maybe she loved mysteries so much that she became one."

Cara Delvingne HAS landed the role.

Ben Starling

Ben is Q's bestfriend. Having a best friend like Ben can be very inconvenient in a road trip that is chasing time. He is also worth mentioning because such kind of friend comes in handy in certain life and death situations.

Austin Abrams is playing the role.

Don't expect the movie to follow the book closely.

John Green is a New York Times bestselling author who wrote titles "The Fault in Our Stars", "Paper Towns", "Looking for Alaska" and "An Abundance of Katherines". He has also won several awards including Printz Honor.

When asked about how much had changed in the screenplay compared to the book in his website, the writer answered, "A lot."

He said that the ending is completely different. At least, there's something unexpected that book readers can look forward to.

"I've always believed that a movie can't be faithful to a book," said John Green, which certainly broke the hearts of many fans. One of the biggest disappointments of avid fans in film adaptations is the big difference between the movie and book.

The movie is more than just about paper towns.

During an interview, John Green told InStyle that "Paper Towns" is about how people look at other people, with all the assumptions and expectations.

The author mentioned on Twitter that he came up with the story while thinking about his failure to see women complexly as people and not some objects to be won.

Also, actress Cara Delevingne plays a big role in sending the film's message. "Nobody I've ever met in my life better understands what it's like to have people make assumptions about you based on two-dimensional images than Cara," he said to InStyle. Green also expressed in Twitter how Cara blew everyone away with her audition. During the scene, which most probably won her the role, the actress nailed the line: "You don't love me, you don't even know me."
